For over a decade, ATRA VETOSUS has carved a reputation for innovation and authenticity within the black metal scene. Emerging from Tasmania, the band finds inspiration in the island’s rugged wilderness, weaving its vast and dramatic landscapes into their music. This connection to nature shapes their sound, creating music that feels emotive and expansive. With intricate melodies and atmospheric layers, paired with lyrics that capture a sense of grandeur and introspection, ATRA VETOSUS creates a compelling and immersive listening experience.

The band’s musical journey began in 2011 with a foundation in melodic black metal. They have since expanded their horizons, incorporating atmospheric, depressive, and post-metal influences. A defining moment for the band was in 2018 with the release of Apricity, an album that not only redefined their sound but also established their presence internationally, culminating in a headlining European tour. In 2021, the EP Even The Dawn No Longer Brings Hope revealed a darker, more introspective side, with sprawling and dynamic movements. Now, with Undying Splendour, ATRA VETOSUS continues to evolve, crafting an album that is as intricate, uplifting, emotive, atmospheric and powerful.

With their latest album Undying Splendour, ATRA VETOSUS invites listeners to experience a journey through intricate soundscapes, vivid atmospheres, and evocative moods—a testament to their ability to push boundaries while staying true to their melodic black metal roots. ATRA VETOSUS will be touring throughout Europe with a European Tour in early 2025 followed by performances in Australia.

It took Destruktor nearly 30 years to get to Tassie with their first gig earlier this year. But now with the opportunity to give you a full length set, and a chance to play Launceston and Hobart, they could not resist the urge to come back and desecrate the Diemens in the south with their intese style!

With their latest album 'Indomitable' coming out last year and a rich back catalogue, Tasmania is very lucky to once again be hosting the mighty Destruktor!

Supports Portcullis and Black Serenade will kick off precedings and set the stage for a very strong night of black metal in Australias dark heart, Tasmania!
