Sydney’s best young players lead by 2025 James Morrison Scholarship winnerRhys Moore and Directed by Greg Carger. The CARGER-MOORE Big Band, featuring the sensational Queen of Soul Carmel Mesiti, offers a captivating blend of classic big band sound infused with vibrant hard edged contemporary flair. 

Known for their energetic performances and intricate arrangements, the band brings a fresh twist to timeless Big Band classics and funk, “it’s the HORN DOGS on steroids”. Carmel Mesiti's dynamic vocal range and charismatic stage presence further elevate the ensemble's performances, creating an unforgettable musical experience for audiences featuring songs by Shirley Bassey, Jocelyn Brown and Chaka Khan.
