Wake the Dead 20 Year Anniversary Tour 2026

Canadian hardcore punk icons Comeback Kid will be coming to Australia this January and February to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their seminal album Wake The Dead with very special guests American hardcore band Gridiron and Sydney’s very own Phantoms.

Originating in Winnipeg, MB, Comeback Kid are a driving force in the global hardcore scene. This anniversary tour is both a celebration of their legacy and a testament to their enduring impact.

Wake The Dead released on February 22, 2005, quickly became a defining moment in the band’s career and helped shape the sound of an entire era. Produced and recorded by Bill Stevenson (Descendents/ALL)- the album left an indelible mark, influencing countless bands and cementing its place as a pivotal work in the evolution of hardcore punk.

Making their debut visit to Australian shores, Pennsylvania’s Gridiron will be making their debut visit to Australian shores, featuring members of Never Ending Game, Simulakra, and Scarab, Gridiron follow quite possibly the most unpredictable playbook in the game. Their hybridization of metal, hardcore, and hip-hop have enabled them to bulldoze their own path as a phenomenon sharing stages with everyone from Missing Link to Trapped Under Ice along the way.

Rounding out the tour will be Sydney’s
Phantoms who will be in support of their latest Last Ride Records releases, the Hell Is Empty / All The Devils Are Here seven inches. Merging the groove of NYHC and aggression of thrash, Phantoms will have the pit moving while slowly losing your mind.
