Blak, Proud & Next Gen Loud

NAIDOC at The Station: Blak, Proud & Next Gen Loud | Friday 4 July 2025 | The Station, Birtinya | Proudly on Kabi Kabi Country

As part of NAIDOC Week 2025, The Station is hosting a celebration of First Nations voices, talent and culture. The event features a headline performance by J-MILLA, one of Australia's most exciting and respected First Nations hip hop artists.

J-MILLA is a Marranungu rapper from Darwin, known for blending hard-hitting social commentary with high-energy beats. From breaking cycles of trauma to mentoring remote youth, his music uplifts mob and speaks truth. With national awards, viral tracks, and over 300k followers, he’s a powerful force in Blak music today. Also joining the epic celebration to perform is Big Noyz, Lil Mase, Byrd Of Paradyse and the Sunrise Dance Troupe!

This year’s NAIDOC Week theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” recognises the strength of young Indigenous leaders and creatives. This event reflects that spirit with a lineup that showcases emerging and established Blak artists making their mark through music and storytelling.

Held on Kabi Kabi Country, this is a community event that welcomes everyone to come together in respect, celebration and solidarity. Expect a night of powerful performances, cultural pride, and strong community energy. This event is all-ages and open to all who want to support and celebrate First Nations culture during NAIDOC Week.

The poster background artwork is by Billy Reynolds, a proud Dharawal/Yuin man titled  Water Dreaming. The Artwork tells the story of water as life, spirit, and legacy adds such depth to this piece. The circles representing gathering places, the flowing songlines it’s more than design, it’s culture in motion.
