Duke of George presents

Paco Lara and Paul A. George (Tijuana Cartel)
A Meeting of Strings, Spirit and Story

This is a rare and intimate collaboration between two guitarists whose styles come from different worlds but meet in powerful harmony.

Paco Lara is a true flamenco virtuoso, born and raised in Jerez de la Frontera — the heartland of flamenco in southern Spain. His playing carries the raw spirit and technical brilliance of a tradition passed down through generations. With decades of experience performing alongside flamenco’s greats, Paco brings the unmistakable compás, duende, and emotional depth of Andalusia to every performance.

Paul A. George, known for his work with genre-defying group Tijuana Cartel, draws from a diverse palette — blending classical, flamenco, and Greek musical influences. With family roots in Crete, Paul weaves the modal colours and rhythms of traditional Greek music into his playing, merging them seamlessly with intricate fingerstyle technique and a cinematic sense of space.

Together, they create a richly textured and expressive guitar performance — a dialogue between cultures, between past and present, tradition and imagination. Expect fiery rhythms, soaring melodies, and moments of profound stillness as these two masterful players meet in shared language: the guitar.
