Cross-cultural celebration of spirit, storytelling, and six-string sorcery

A spellbinding meeting of two master guitarists from opposite ends of the world. Zimbabwean-Mozambican Sylent Nqo, known as “the guitar sangoma,” channels ancestral rhythms through a fusion of African tradition and contemporary sound. A global performer and WCOPA champion, his music is both deeply rooted and boundary-breaking.

Australia’s Paul Mason brings virtuosic fire and finesse, shaped by years touring with icons like Jessica Mauboy and Sting, and acclaimed solo work that bridges jazz, rock, and soul. A celebrated composer and performer, Paul’s sound is bold, emotive, and timeless.

Together, they weave Ancestral Strings—a cross-cultural celebration of spirit, storytelling, and six-string sorcery.
