Altar Bar presents
FREQS & GEEKS: Galapagos Island + Josh Santospirito
FREQS & GEEKS showcases electronic artists from Lutruwita/Tasmania—emerging, established, and everything between.
A space for the unclassifiable. Hypnotic, chaotic, euphoric, and raw. Textures that swallow you whole.
Galapagos Island, aka Kim Walls and Callum Cusick, gently stumble through an electronic farmers market of samples and synths. Their sound is usually thick, ambient and textural, but it has been known on occasion to include an odd Bossa Nova beat or beat up old piano.
Improvised, evolving experiments.
Hypnotic, weird and wonderful synthesiser plague-master Joshua Santospirito has been playing his strange and beautiful music in Australia and Europe for over twenty years.
His first solo album in 13 years HOPE IS NOT ENOUGH was released earlier this month.
